Unisinos Strengthens Innovation Capacity with Extreme Networks

July 12, 2017

The Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos) is a private Jesuit university located in Brazil with the long-term goal to become a global benchmark in research. To achieve this goal, the university needed a reliable network infrastructure to support its 30,000 students, 2,000 employees, and various technology programs including: e-learning,  teleconferences, remote use of the system, and BYOD. Unisinos compared several solutions available on the market, considering the convergence between the total cost of the solution over five years, the knowledge of the vendors, and Gartner’s evaluations. Ultimately, they chose Extreme Networks to upgrade the wired and wireless network infrastructure.

Benefits of the new network solution include:

  • Improved network structure capable of high speeds and reliable connectivity
  • Reduced network management and troubleshooting time
