The Federal University of Alagoas Adds Stability and Management to its IT Network with Extreme Networks

The Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) is headquartered in Maceió, Alagoas State, Brazil. The institution has 22 academic departments and 87 graduate courses for handling its approximately 30 thousand students.  To meet the demands of their students, modernizing the network was a priority for the university. Extreme Networks was selected to immediately replace the obsolete, complex network with no management solution with a project combining rack-top switches, edge switches, wireless signal access controllers, and integrated network management, as well as data center switches.
