With the acquisition of Avaya’s networking business, Extreme Networks is not only growing our technology offering, but bolstering the team too. Having the right people with the right talents is fundamental in helping Extreme on our journey towards becoming the leader in the enterprise networking space. With this in mind, we are welcoming Michael Grundl as the new director of channel & partner sales in EMEA to lead Extreme’s sales efforts in the region.
Michael´s roots go back to Siemens, Bay Networks, Nortel, and Avaya Networking. He brings a wealth of technical skills in the key areas of networking, enterprise/carrier, security, cloud, and data center solutions with more than 25 years of sales experience in the industry. Working on various international direct and indirect sales positions he was promoted to a series of senior management roles, most recently as leader of networking in Central & Northern Europe with Avaya.

Michael’s experience, knowledge, and leadership will be vital in articulating how Extreme has evolved as we continue to build out our technology solutions so that we are able to provide more offerings to users.

In his new role, Michael will leverage his years of sales and marketing experience to push forward the values of the “New Extreme” and build on its position as a global leader in the enterprise networking space. A key aspect of this will be engaging with Extreme’s partner ecosystem to drive growth.
