Upcoming Webinar: How to Control the Unknown (like Pokémon Go) On Your Network

10992-Beyond-Network-Visibility-Webinar-Blog-Image_v1We’ve heard from a number of customers that Netflix can be the most used application on their network. This is just one of many applications that have burst the popularity bubble and taken over network bandwidth, whether in a college dorm room, a hospital patient room, at airport gate areas, or even in large public venues. Recently, Pokémon Go stepped in as the next application sweeping the world – and our respective networks. In fact, a recent survey found that Pokémon Go daily usage had exceeded Netflix. With shifts in network usage coming at alarming speed, IT managers have been trying to quickly understand its impact on security and how to manage the surge of devices as well as the demand for bandwidth from “unknown” sources.

True visibility into applications on the network is the answer, however, very few are able to achieve this. With the shift from wired to wireless everything, and an increase in the number of devices, or Internet of Things, preparation and complete visibility is now imperative. To help arm enterprise professionals with the right tools to manage the next unknown wireless “thing,” I’ll be holding a webinar on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 1 – 2 p.m. ET.

During the webinar, I’ll discuss how to look beyond just network visibility and instead use actionable analytic insights to enable control of every single application to better support BYOD and guest environments, from improving employee productivity to eliminating security threats. Attendees will learn how to prioritize business applications on enterprise networks and also how to identify, as well as restrict unwanted popular application activity before its impact on network bandwidth and performance with the help of ExtremeWireless and ExtremeAnalytics. Check out my latest video to learn more about the webinar.

I’ll also be presenting at the CWNP WiFi Trek New Orleans conference later in the month on Friday, September 30th about the use of analytics to prepare for the unknown and other topics around emerging wireless trends. This event will be bustling with leading Wi-Fi experts, discussing the latest and greatest ways to enhance wireless network connectivity.

I invite you to join me and register for our free webinar here. If you can’t make the webinar session, feel free to meet me in New Orleans and attend my presentation.

By registering here, you’ll get a special 10% discount off a conference pass using the code Extreme10. Looking forward to tackling the unknown with you in a few short weeks!
